Here is a simple way to make your Computer Speak or Talk like Jarvis. Here you will learn an easy and very simple method to make your computer speak each Window and each action on your desktop screen. Actually we are going to use a software for this. This Software is officially bundled with every version of Windows like Windows XP, Windows Vista Windows 7 and Windows 8. There may be some variations in versions or in the locations of this software but it almost comes pre-installed in all versions of Windows.

Following are the steps need to be taken to perform this trick. Although, this trick is mostly used just for fun or to impress friends but it could be of great use for people who have weak eyesight or such physical in-abilities. The Software is basically developed as 'Speech' function in Windows XP but later in Windows Vista and Windows 7, it has been given the name of 'Narrator'. So, the steps for finding this program in each version of Windows are a bit different but almost the same. Following are the steps given for each operating system.

How To Make Your Computer Talk/Speak For Windows XP, Vista, 7 and Windows 8

For Windows XP:

  • Go to the Start Button.
  • Click on All Programs. Then Click on Accessories.
  • Now in Accessibility, Find Speech.
  • Start the program and it will start pronouncing your each action and movement on the desktop, like as the name of open Window etc.
For Windows Vista, 7 and 8:
There are some variations in user interface of each operating system but the steps are basically same. You just have to press Start button and then search for Narrator.

  • Click on Start Button (On Windows Vista and 7) or press the Start Button key on the Keyboard(in Windows 8).
  • Now start typing narrator and press enter.
  • The software will be up and running.
  • Now you will hear your Computer Speaking each action on your computer. Whether it is playing music, opened window etc.
